I am a nutrition coach, runner, writer, and podcast host who enjoys helping others reach their potential through their commitment to running.
This site is devoted to the nuts and bolts of running and training, the principles of athletic performance, and explorations of what it means to have the soul of a runner.
On the road I have logged over a decade of racing, with two BQ’s and a marathon PR of 3:03:53. Though I have not coached runners, I have a decade and a half of coaching youth and high school soccer. During that time I have tirelessly studied and applied lessons in sport psychology, athletic performance, and growth mindset, lessons that I have then utilized in my own running. In addition to running and nutrition coaching I also co-host the Rust Belt Running Podcast with Andrew Hettinger.
